Hi, I’m Angie

Hi, I'm Angie, a Certified Nutritionist, Certified Pediatric Nutritionist, and I'm currently studying to become a Human Intestinal Microbiome in Health and Disease Specialist.

My passion is helping people improve their health through evidence-based nutrition. But my journey into nutrition didn't stop with earning qualifications—it went far beyond the classroom.

As a mum to three wonderful children on the autism spectrum, I experienced first-hand how important nutrition can be for everyday life. I wanted to understand how food affects not only physical health but also energy, digestion, wellbeing, and family life. What started as a personal interest quickly became a lifelong passion and a mission to keep learning.

Living in rural Ireland has also shaped my perspective on nutrition. My husband is a hunter and fisher, giving our family a deep appreciation for ethically sourced, nutrient-dense food and a better understanding of where our food comes from. This inspired me to explore the nutritional value of traditional foods and how they compare with today's highly processed diets.

My studies soon expanded beyond recipes and meal planning. I became fascinated by nutritional science, healthy weight management, metabolic health, the gut microbiome, and the role food plays in supporting overall health. This ongoing curiosity continues to drive my education and the content I create.

Today, I share healthy, family-friendly recipes, practical nutrition advice, and evidence-informed guidance to help people make confident food choices. Whether you're looking to lose weight, improve your metabolic health, support your gut health, manage diabetes with guidance from your healthcare provider, or simply enjoy nutritious meals made with real ingredients, my goal is to make healthy eating simple, enjoyable, and sustainable.

Thank you for visiting Nutrition by Angie. I hope my recipes and nutrition advice inspire you to nourish yourself and your family with confidence.
